Prove the boiler fits the cupboard before you quote
Every combi swap starts with the same argument about the cupboard. Stand the customer in front of it and put the boiler on the wall at full size.

Once it appears: one finger drags it, two fingers turn it. It does not need a clear floor. Drop it where it fits and judge the size against what is already there.
Will it go in, and can the flue get out?
Case size is rarely the problem. Service clearance and the flue terminal are.
Let them scan it and hold their own phone up

Clearances shown are typical manufacturer figures and must be checked against the specific appliance instructions. Flue terminal positions follow Building Regulations Approved Document J and BS 5440. Any gas work must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer. Unvented cylinders require a G3 qualified installer.
